Suspect Flees Scene of Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Lake Forest
LAKE FOREST, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2018) – Oscar Martinez, 33, of Lake Forest, died Monday night when he was struck by a hit-and-run driver at Ridge Route Drive and Rockfield Boulevard, according to a report by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
The collision was reported about 10:30 p.m. on Sept. 24th. The victim was found by passing motorists with a severe head injury in traffic lanes. He died of his injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, police are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect who fled without stopping to help the gravely-injured man.
At this time, we do not have a description of the vehicle, but police are piecing what little evidence they have to help them determine who did this.
