Passenger Killed in Collision on Washington Place Friday
Pasadena, CA (February 23, 2022) – Police arrested 26-year-old Oscar Munoz-Luna in relation with a deadly DUI crash that occurred on Washington Place, according to the Pasadena Star-News.
Earlier reports indicated Munoz-Luna was behind the wheel of a green 1998 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck heading east on Washington Place. Due to the alleged intoxication of the drier, he allowed the car to drift off the roadway. The article published online mentioned the Chevrolet Silverado struck a parked, unoccupied vehicle on the south side of Washington Place just west of Sunset Avenue.
The collision took place on February 18 at about 9:30 p.m.
When medical personnel arrived at the site, they immediately rendered aid to all the occupants in the disabled Chevrolet Silverado. Our sources mentioned a 55-year-old male passenger in the pickup truck sadly died at a hospital. Pending confirmation, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities added Munoz-Luna and another passenger both sustained minor to moderate injuries; and received medical care at the hospital.

After receiving treatment, Munoz-Luna was taken into police custody on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter; and felony driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
