BALDWIN PARK, Calif. (August 24, 2023) — Oscar Reyes, 29, died in a Baldwin Park motorcycle accident involving a truck Tuesday morning on the Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of the 605 Freeway.
The multi-vehicle collision occurred in the westbound lanes about 9:32 a.m. on August 22nd, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Paramedics with the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to help those hurt in the crash. The vehicles collided in the middle Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the freeway due to unknown circumstances.
The drivers of a big rig truck and several cars pulled over, but it’s unknown which ones were involved. Unfortunately, Oscar Reyes suffered major injuries and died at the scene. He was later identified by the Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner.
Meanwhile, tow trucks removed at least one of the damaged vehicles from the freeway.
Investigators are working on the case to determine fault for the fatal motorcycle accident on the 10 Freeway.
