Fatal Irwindale Hit-and-Run on Peck Road
IRWINDALE (October 3, 2018) – Oscar Sapien, 43, died in an alleged hit-and-run car crash Wednesday morning on Peck Road outside of a gas station, according to KTLA and ABC 7.
The collision was reported at around 6:11 a.m. near Foothill Transit station.
The Los Angeles Fire and Police Department found the man unresponsive at the Clean Energy Station located at 56040 Peck Road. He later died at the scene.
Officials determined that the victim was struck by a vehicle in the area.
The driver of the car involved did not stop and fled the scene.
The northbound Peck Road was forced to shut down at Foothill Transit Driveway following the crash. The incident remains under investigation.
