2 Officers Injured in Collision at Siempre Viva Road and Las Californias Drive Wednesday
Otay Mesa, CA (May 26, 2021) – Several people suffered injuries following a car crash in the area of Siempre Viva Road and Las Californias Drive Wednesday afternoon.
According to the San Diego Union-Tribune, a marked agency vehicle collided with another car at an intersection near the Otay Mesa Cross Border Xpress pedestrian bridge to Tijuana International Airport.
The crash took place shortly before 4:20 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they found a pickup and an SUV involved in the wreck. One vehicle apparently T-boned the other at the crossing of Siempre Viva and Las Californias.

Primary reports confirmed three people, including two on-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, sustained injuries from the collision. Paramedics transported all three patients to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate several factors surrounding the car crash in Otay Mesa.
