Otay Mesa West: Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 805

Van Strikes, Kills Pedestrian Near Palm Avenue

Otay Mesa West, CA (October 23, 2022) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 805 Freeway, the CBS News reported.

Our sources indicated a van struck an individual in the northbound side of the freeway; just south of Palm Avenue in the Otay Mesa West area of San Diego.

Shortly after 8 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the crash site. First responders said they found a person lying in the roadway. Medical personnel performed life-saving measures to the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
