Girl, 4, Hospitalized After Traffic Collision on Wooley Road Thursday
Oxnard, CA (February 25, 2021) – A 4-year-old girl suffered injuries following a car accident on Wooley Road Thursday morning, the Ventura County Star reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed a woman was behind the wheel of a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling at a high rate of speed along westbound Wooley.
For reasons still unclear, the female motorist veered off the roadway and drove onto the north sidewalk of Wooley Road.
The crash took place just east of Deckside Drive around 8:10 a.m.
Officers later determined the Jeep struck a light pole, tree and block wall during the incident. The force from the impact ejected a 4-year-old passenger from the Jeep, according to the news article.

Responding paramedics rushed both the injured kid and the driver to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. Pending confirmation, the names of the patients remained undisclosed.
Officials mentioned it remained unclear if the juvenile was properly secured in a car seat when the crash happened.
