2-Vehicle Collision on US 101 Freeway
OXNARD, Calif. (Sept. 26, 2023) — A major injury Oxnard crash on the Ventura 101 Freeway happened on Tuesday morning near North Rice Avenue.
The two-vehicle collision occurred around 5:32 a.m. on Sept. 26th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the drivers of a white Ford pickup truck and a large two-axel van were involved. The driver of the pickup allegedly rear-ended the van due to unknown circumstances.
It happened in the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes of the northbound US 101, the report said.
Paramedics with the Ventura County Fire Department responded and rushed at least one person with major injuries to a hospital.
Investigators with the CHP are working to determine fault for the Oxnard crash on the 101 Freeway.
