Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Mercantile Street
Oxnard, CA (July 30, 2022) – A 38-year-old man died following a pedestrian accident that occurred Friday on Wooley Road, the Ventura County Star News reported.
Officials said a 2011 Dodge Durango SUV struck a man walking across Wooley. The horrible crash took place near the intersection at Mercantile Street.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident on Wooley Road in Oxnard
Shortly after 8:40 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the accident scene. Responding paramedics found the victim lying in the roadway. Medical personnel rendered first aid to the victim, then subsequently transferred him to a hospital. The article published online mentioned the patient later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned the driver appeared unharmed after collision.
