2 Men Critically Injured in Oxnard Crash at Pleasant Valley and Longfellow
OXNARD (January 13, 2019) – Two passengers were critically injured after an alleged DUI crash in the area of Pleasant Valley Road and Longfellow Way early Sunday, according to The Ventura County Star.
The solo-car accident was reported at around 2 a.m. in the Cypress neighborhood.
As per the article, police said 23-year-old Maximino Diaz was driving Chrysler PT Cruiser at a high rate of speed west on Pleasant Valley Road when he lost control of the vehicle.
The Chrysler left the roadway and the slammed into a palm tree and a brick wall.

Police affirmed that the two passengers of the car were rushed to Ventura County Medical Center with serious injuries.
The victims, 26-year-old and 36-year-old men from Oxnard, were both listed in critical condition. Their names were not disclosed.
Meanwhile officials determined that Diaz, who sustained minor wounds upon impact, was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck.
The Oxnard resident was arrest on suspicion of felony DUI offenses and remained in Ventura County jail Sunday afternoon with a bail set at $50,000.
