Bicyclist, 75, Hit and Killed by Truck at Oxnard Boulevard and Wooley Road Saturday
Oxnard, CA (January 9, 2021) – A 75-year-old bicycle rider died following a traffic collision in the area of South Oxnard Boulevard and Wooley Road, according to KVTA News.
The horrible crash took place Saturday afternoon.
Per news article published online, the bicyclist collided with a 2019 Peterbilt semi-tractor pulling a 53-foot trailer. Officials said the truck was heading north on Oxnard Boulevard after turning from Wooley Road. At the intersection, the truck hit the bicyclist traveling at an unspecified direction.
Deadly Bicycle Accident in Oxnard, January 9
Authorities later confirmed the bicycle rider sadly died as a result of the accident. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, our sources indicated the 21-year-old Fresno man operating the big rig immediately stopped after the crash. The driver stayed at the scene after the incident and cooperated with the investigation process.
