1 Killed, 1 Injured in Oxnard Crash at Gonzales Road and Victoria Avenue
OXNARD, CA (May 1, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and injured another at Gonzales Road and Victoria Avenue in Oxnard.
According to an article published by the KEYT News, the tragic accident occurred on Thursday night. Officers reported the wreck on April 29 at around 9:45 p.m.
Police said a Dodge Durango and a Nissan Altima collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Gonzales Road and Victoria Avenue in Oxnard.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene and found the drivers of both vehicles injured as a result of the collision.
2 Cars Collide in Oxnard Intersection
The female driver of the Nissan suffered serious injuries while the 31-year-old Oxnard woman driving the Dodge sustained minor injuries from the impact.
Medical personnel took them to the hospital, where the woman operating the Altima later died. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officials forced the intersection to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Oxnard crash is still under investigation.
