1 Killed in Oxnard Crash on Victoria Avenue Near Wooley Road
OXNARD, CA (October 18, 2021) – A car crash killed one person and badly injured another on Victoria Avenue in Oxnard.
According to the KEYT News and KVTA News, the tragic accident took place late Monday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 11:06 a.m.
The incident began when a 2001 BMW 330i was going south on Victoria Avenue in Oxnard. At the same time, a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee entered the road traveling east across Victoria.
Police said for an unknown reason, the two cars collided south of Wooley Road. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and then found both drivers hurt.
2 Cars Collide
Medical personnel soon rushed the 84-year-old Oxnard man driving the Jeep to the Ventura County Medical Center where he died.
The motorist in the BMW, a 20-year-old Oxnard man, sustained moderate injuries as a result of the collision. Officials took him to VCMC and listed him in stable condition.
The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released. Meanwhile, police forced a stretch of Victoria Avenue to shut down for hours following the wreck.
