September 23, 2018 – An unidentified man was fatally struck by a suspected hit-and-run driver in the area of 5th and Meta streets early Sunday morning.

According to NBC News, local police found a man lying at the intersection around 2:30 a.m. Following preliminary investigation, authorities determined the victim was hit by an older model white SUV, and was left with injuries at the scene.
As per the article, the man was rushed Ventura County Medical Center for emergency surgery but later sadly died from his injuries. The name of the fatality remained undisclosed pending notification of next of kin.
