OXNARD, California (April 6, 2017) – A motorcyclist was gravely injured in a traffic collision at Saviers Road and Elm Street Tuesday afternoon, according to KVTA News.
The accident took place shortly before 5:45 p.m. at the intersection.
As per the article, police said a 36-year-old Oxnard man was riding a motorcycle south on Saviers Road when he collided with a pickup truck. The rider was ejected from his bike following the crash.
The man was then transported to Ventura County Medical Center with injuries considered as critical. His name has not been yet released.
Meanwhile, police reported that the 65-year-old Oxnard woman driving the car was making a left turn from northbound Saviers to Elm Street, directly in front of the victim. She was unharmed.
Alcohol or drugs did not appear to have played a role in the incident which is still under investigation.
