At Least 1 Hurt in Multi-Vehicle Collision on SR-118 Friday
Oxnard, CA (May 7, 2021) – A traffic accident involving a semi truck occurred Friday afternoon on State Route 118, also known as Los Angeles Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch, the big rig crashed into the rear of a passenger vehicle. The collision took place on SR-118 at the Vineyard Avenue junction.
The force from the impact caused the passenger vehicle to hit a third car. At the moment, the make and model of the automobiles involved in the wreck remained undisclosed.
Minor Injury Car and Truck Crash in Oxnard, May 7
Shortly after 2:45 p.m., emergency crews arrived and attended to all parties found at the scene. The CHP log confirmed one person sustained minor injuries, and was taken to Ventura County Medical Center for treatment. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the patient pending confirmation.
Additional details on the multi-vehicle collision have not been discussed thus far. Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine exactly how and why the car and truck accident in Oxnard happened.
