OXNARD: Woman, 23, Hurt in DUI Hit-and-Run Crash at Danvers Rivers Street and Seaglass Way

OXNARD, California (July 25, 2016) – A 23-year-old Santa Paula woman was hurt in a DUI hit-and-run crash Sunday night at Danvers Rivers Street and Seaglass Way, according to Ventura County Star.
The accident was reported just before 8:30 p.m.
As per the article, Oxnard police said the vehicle driven by the victim was struck by 23-year-old Christina Sotelo who was traveling with her 5-year-old son at the time.
The Santa Paula woman was transported and treated at a local hospital for minor injuries. Her name was not disclosed.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that Sotelo, of Port Hueneme, did not stop to render aid and fled the scene. Officers located the suspect car on Detroit Avenue and arrested Sotelo who was determined to be under the influence of alcohol.
She was then booked into Ventura County Jail on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, driving under the influence of alcohol and child endangerment. Her son was unharmed.
