Pablo Vasquez, 30, Seriously Injures Pedestrian in Selma Hit-and-Run Crash
SELMA, CA (July 4, 2021) – Authorities detained Pablo Vasquez after a hit-and-run crash on Whitson Street in Selma.
Police identified the 30-year-old man as the suspect in the accident which took place on Saturday morning, July 3.
The incident happened when Pablo Vasquez was driving a Chevy Silverado on Whitson Street in Selma, For an unknown reason, he struck a female pedestrian.
Police said the pickup truck hit the 23-year-old woman, north of Floral Avenue. FOX 26 News and Your Central Valley wrote that the accident occurred shortly after 8:40 a.m.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the pedestrian left lying in the center median. She sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.
Medical personnel rushed her to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment and surgery. Officials did not disclose her name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that Pablo Vasquez did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the area. They located the Chevy with major damage to the hood and grill near Howard and Northhill streets.
Authorities soon arrested and booked Pablo Vasquez into the Fresno County Jail for felony hit-and-run with injuries. The Selma hit-and-run collision is still under investigation.
