PACIFIC BEACH, Calif. (March 3, 2022) — A Pacific Beach hit-and-run pedestrian accident happened late Wednesday night on Mission Bay Drive.

The collision happened about 11 p.m. on March 2nd, just south of Bluffside Avenue, officials said.

Police are now searching for the driver who fled the scene after hitting the 54-year-old woman in the roadway, according to the San Diego Police Department.

The driver struck the woman as she was walking along the curb line on Mission Bay Drive, police said.

The older, dark-colored SUV reportedly drifted to the right when it struck her.

The passenger-side mirror struck her right arm and fractured it, police said. Meanwhile, the driver in the SUV did not stop. They continued driving away from the scene and left the injured woman in the roadway.

Witnesses or anyone with information about the suspect or the Pacific Beach hit-and-run, may contact the San Diego Police Department.
