Motorcycle Rider, Passenger Injured in Crash with BMW Turning Left
SAN DIEGO, Calif. (Nov. 11, 2024) — Two people riding on a motorcycle were injured in a car accident Sunday on Garnet Avenue in the Pacific Beach area of San Diego.
The traffic accident occurred around 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10th, according to the San Diego Police Department.
A 70-year-old woman driving a 2013 BMW M3 was traveling eastbound when she turned left into the path of the westbound motorcyclist.
The 39-year-old man and 40-year-old woman riding together on the 2002 Harley Davidson Dyna motorcycle were unable to avoid colliding with the BMW.
Paramedics responded and transported both people from the motorcycle to a hospital. The woman had an open fracture to her right tibia/fibula and the male driver had a minor abrasion and possibly other non-life threatening injuries.
The San Diego Police Department is heading up the investigation.
