Motorcyclist Badly Hurt After Traffic Collision on Mission Boulevard Sunday
Pacific Beach, CA (April 25, 2021) – A motorcycle rider suffered injuries following a road accident on Mission Boulevard Sunday afternoon.
According to an article published online by the San Diego Union-Tribune, a 57-year-old motorcyclist collided with 2018 Volkswagen Atlas in Pacific Beach.
Earlier reports indicated the rider was heading north on Mission Boulevard. The crash happened when the Volkswagen from Opal Street turned onto Mission. Officials said the motorcyclist drove into a turn lane to pass the Volkswagen; however, the Volkswagen merged into the same lane to make a U-turn and crashed with the rider.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in Pacific Beach, April 25
Shortly after 3:05 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the site and found the motorcyclist with serious injuries. An ambulance rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Investigators handling the case continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the motorcycle accident in Pacific Beach.
