
Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Pacific Beach Crash on Garnet Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (March 12, 2023) – A crash left a pedestrian seriously injured on Garnet Avenue in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego.
According to an article published by the ABC 10 News, the accident took place late last month. Officers reported the collision on February 27 at around 1:24 a.m.
San Diego police said the incident happened when a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason in Pacific Beach. The driver hit her in the 2900 block of Garnet Avenue, near Mission Bay Drive.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the woman left lying unresponsive on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to the Scripps La Jolla Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The name of the wounded party and her condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, police added that the motorist did not stop to render aid and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Garnet Avenue to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Pacific Beach pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
