Pedestrian Injured in Pacific Beach Crash on Grand Avenue Near Everts Street
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 21, 2021) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a crash on Grand Avenue in the Pacific Beach neighborhood in San Diego.
According to an article published by the San Diego Union-Tribune, the accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 5 a.m.
San Diego police said a male pedestrian was crossing Grand Avenue near Everts Street in Pacific Beach. For an unknown reason, a compact car struck him.
Man Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived the scene and found the 21-year-old man hurt. He sustained a head trauma as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded victim and his condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man. The front windshield of the car ended up shattered and obtained other damage.
Officers forced a stretch of Grand Avenue to close both directions following the collision. The cause of the Pacific Beach pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
