
DUI Driver Hits Man Near Grand Avenue
Pacific Beach, CA (March 26, 2023) – A pedestrian suffered serious injuries following a suspected DUI collision that occurred on Mission Boulevard early Sunday, March 26.
The San Diego Union-Tribune News reported a 25-year-old man attempted to cross Mission Boulevard. While in the traffic lanes, a passing motorcycle rider struck the pedestrian. The crash took place in the 4300 block of Mission, just south of Grand Avenue in Pacific Beach.
Pedestrian Hospitalized After Crash on Mission Boulevard in Pacific Beach
Shortly after 2 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics immediately rendered aid to the pedestrian found complaining of severe pain. According to the article published online, the victim sustained serious internal injuries, including a bruised liver. Paramedics rushed the man to a hospital for treatment and further evaluation.
Meanwhile, investigators believed the driver of the motorcycle was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Officers administered sobriety tests and eventually arrested the driver.
Detectives continue to work to determine several unclear factors surrounding the traffic accident that happened on Mission Boulevard in Pacific Beach.
