PACOIMA, California (July 3, 2014) – A pedestrian was critically injured Wednesday night in a hit-and-run car accident in the 11400 block of Laurel Canyon Boulevard, according to California Highway Patrol and news reports.
About 9:20 p.m., police say a man was walking on Laurel Canyon Boulevard when a driver in an early 2000s, white Honda hatchback car struck him and failed to stop and render aid to the injured victim.
The Los Angeles Police Department is heading up an investigation into the crash in hopes of locating the suspect who fled the scene of the hit-and-run crash.
“Hopefully the suspect turns themself in to police immediately,” said Attorney James Johnson.
