PALM DESERT, California (December 21, 2015) — Two people were injured Saturday night in a collision involving a car and an RV on the eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Washington Street, a California Highway Patrol report and press release by the Riverside County Fire Department said.
The crash was reported about 8:47 p.m. when the two vehicles collided. CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters and paramedics responded and extricated a passenger in one of the vehicles who was trapped. The individual suffered major injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. A second person suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Police closed down the eastbound traffic lanes to help those involved and investigate the crash to determine liability.
