Bicycle Rider Injured in Palm Desert Crash at Varner and Washington
PALM DESERT, CA (March 17, 2023) – A bicycle rider was hospitalized after a crash at Varner Road and Washington Street in Palm Desert.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Thursday evening, March 16. Officers reported the collision at around 6:12 p.m.
The incident happened when a car struck the bicycle rider in Palm Desert. The vehicle hit the bicyclist at the intersection of Varner Road and Washington Street.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim hurt. The cyclist sustained minor injuries as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the driver stopped or stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced the area of Varner and Washington to shut down after the incident.
The cause of the Palm Desert bicycle crash is still under investigation.
