5 Injured in Palm Desert Crash Near Varner Road and Avenue 38
PALM DESERT, CA (April 1, 2022) – Several were injured after a car crash near Varner Road and Avenue 38 in Palm Desert.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place on Friday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 6 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Palm Desert. They crashed near the intersection of Varner Road and Avenue 38.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics then arrived at the scene and freed one trapped occupant from the wreck. A total of five people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Four patients sustained serious injuries, while the fifth survived with moderate injuries. Medical personnel soon took the patients to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the corner of Varner Road and Avenue 38 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Palm Desert crash is still under investigation.
