3 Injured in Palm Desert Crash Near Washington Street and Avenue 42
PALM DESERT, CA (June 11, 2022) – Several were hospitalized after a car crash near Washington Street and Avenue 42 in Palm Desert.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place early Saturday. Officers reported the wreck at around 12:17 a.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Palm Desert. They crashed near the intersection of Washington Street and Avenue 42.
Cal Fire described the cars as a white sedan and a white truck. The truck rolled over and struck the light signal box in that intersection which turned off the signals.
2 Cars Collide
Two occupants of the sedan ended up trapped inside as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and freed them from the wreckage.
Both patients sustained major injuries while the driver of the truck survived with minor injuries. Medical personnel took them to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Washington Street and Avenue 42 to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Palm Desert crash is still under investigation.
