 Palm Desert Crash Interstate 10 Freeway, Cook Street (Feb. 2)

PALM DESERT, Calif. (Feb. 2, 2023) — A multi-vehicle crash in Palm Desert happened Thursday morning on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just west of Cook Street.

The 3-vehicle crash occurred about 10:44 a.m. on Feb. 2nd, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the drivers of a black Chevrolet Colorado, a white Toyota Camry and a semi-truck are involved.

The collision happened in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the freeway. It’s unknown what led up to the traffic accident, but at least one person was hurt.

Paramedics with the California Department of Fire responded and treated a woman with a broken hand and transported her to a hospital.

Meanwhile, tow trucks removed two of the vehicles from the roadway.

The crash on the Interstate 10 Freeway in Palm Desert remains under investigation to determine fault.
