1 Killed, 3 Injured in Palm Desert Crash at Washington Street and Avenue 42
PALM DESERT, CA (November 3, 2021) – A crash killed one person and injured several others at Washington Street and Avenue 42 in Palm Desert.
According to The Desert Sun and KESQ News, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:24 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Palm Desert. They crashed at the intersection of Washington Street and Avenue 42.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and extricated a trapped occupant from the wreckage. They soon pronounced one victim dead at the scene.
Medical personnel treated a total of three people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. One patient sustained moderate injuries while the other two survived with minor injuries.
The report added that a fifth individual involved declined treatment. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, officers forced southbound Washington Street to shut down between Harris Lane to Avenue 42 following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Palm Desert crash is still under investigation.
