
Pedestrian Killed in Palm Desert Crash Near Calliandra and Alamo
PALM DESERT, CA (March 4, 2023) – A crash killed a pedestrian near Calliandra Street and Alamo Drive in Palm Desert.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the tragic accident took place on Saturday evening. Officers reported the collision on March 4 shortly after 6 p.m.
The Riverside County Fire Department said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Palm Desert. The driver hit the person near the intersection of Calliandra Street and Alamo Drive.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground. The patient sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident.
Medical personnel soon pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, Cal Fire did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site following the collision. Officers forced the area of Calliandra and Alamo to shut down for a time following the accident.
The cause of the fatal Palm Desert pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
