PALM DESERT, California (September 24, 2015) — A car collided with a SunDial paratransit service bus Thursday morning at the intersection of Palm Drive and 21st Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The collision took place about 10:14 a.m. between a gray Honda Accord and the bus which transports people who have disabilities. Paramedics with the CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department responded to help those potentially injured in the crash, but there were no details about how many people were hurt.
A 100-foot section of fence was damaged on the east side of the roadway and at least one of the vehicles required towing from the scene.
An investigation into liability for the accident is underway. The SunDial bus is operated by SunLine Transit Agency.
