2 Seriously Injured in Palm Springs Crash at Highway 111 and Overture Drive
PALM SPRINGS, CA (June 24, 2021) – A crash seriously injured two people at Highway 111 and Overture Drive in Palm Springs.
The Desert Sun and KESQ News wrote that the accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 4 p.m.
The Palm Springs Fire Department said a motorcycle and a vehicle collided for an unknown reason. The two crashed at the intersection of Highway 111 and Overture Drive.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found a man and a woman who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
A California Highway Patrol dispatch said medical personnel took both patients to the Desert Regional Medical Center for treatment. Officials did not disclose their names and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP described the wounded parties as a driver and a passenger. They forced the southbound Highway 111 at Overture Drive to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the Palm Springs crash.
