2 Injured in Palm Springs Pedestrian Crash on Palm Canyon Drive Near Prescott
PALM SPRINGS, CA (August 18, 2022) – Two were hospitalized after a pedestrian crash on Palm Canyon Drive near Prescott Drive in Palm Springs.
According to an article published by the KESQ News, the accident took place last week on Friday night. Officers reported the collision at about 10:30 p.m.
The incident happened on August 12 when a car struck two people in a Palm Springs pedestrian crosswalk. The vehicle hit them on Palm Canyon Drive near Prescott Drive.
Victims Hit by Car
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the victims who ended up hurt as a result of the accident.
Medical personnel then rushed both patients to a hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. The report did not release the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police did not mention if the driver stopped or stayed at the site after hitting the victims. They added that the flashing crosswalk was not working when the incident occurred.
Officers forced a stretch of Palm Canyon Drive to shut down near Prescott following the incident. The cause of the Palm Springs pedestrian crash is still under investigation.
