2 Injured After Truck Crash on 10 Freeway Monday
PALM SPRINGS, Ca (May 27, 2019) – Two people suffered injuries following a traffic collision on the Interstate 10 Freeway Monday evening, KESQ News and Desert Sun reported.
Our sources indicated two semi trucks collided on the westbound side of I-10 just before Highway 62 exit.
Shortly after 6:14 p.m., emergency teams arrived at the location.
Local firefighters found one person trapped in the wreckage. They immediately extricated the victim and transported them to a hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities added a second person suffered moderate injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics also transported the second victim to a hospital for treatment.
The names of both patients remained undisclosed.
Meanwhile, CHP mentioned one of the semis carried 80,000 pounds of carrots that apparently spilled on the roadway. Furthermore, Cal Fire confirmed 20 gallons of diesel fuel spilled in the area.
Liability in the accident is still being determined.
