PALMDALE, California (May 12, 2016) — A semi-tractor trailer truck overturned in a crash with three other motorists Thursday morning on the southbound State Route 14 Antelope Valley Freeway, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash took place about 5:52 a.m. this morning near the Angeles Forest Highway exit.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department and CHP officers responded to help those involved in the crash and upon their arrival they stated that there was an overturned big rig truck and an SUV was on its side in the No. 2 lane. Police issued a SigAlert for the crash due to multiple lanes being blocked by disabled cars and the truck.
A second big rig truck involved in the crash appears to have left the scene, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Paramedics were at the scene to transport anyone who was seriously hurt in the crash and an investigation is underway by police to determine liability.
