Passenger Injured in Palmdale Fatal Crash on 50th Street East
PALMDALE (November 25, 2017) – One person was killed, and another was injured in a solo-vehicle collision on 50th Street East Friday evening, according to Los Angeles Daily News.
As per the article, a red Honda Accord drifted into the opposite traffic lane for unknown reasons and drove onto a dirt shoulder. The vehicle only came to a rest after slamming into a big tree, just south of Avenue L.
First responders found a male driver and a female passenger in the wreckage.
The driver, later identified as 20-year-old Cesar Diaz Sandoval, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Diaz was reportedly a boxer represented by Oscar de la Hoya’s Golden Boy promotions.
Meanwhile, reports indicated that the passenger was transported to a hospital for treatment of multiple fractures. The patient was only identified as a Lancaster resident in her 20s.
At this time, the precise cause of the crash remains under investigation.
