2 Injured in Palmdale Crash on 25th Street East Near Avenue R
PALMDALE, CA (April 5, 2022) – A car crash killed one person and injured two others on 25th Street East in Palmdale.
According to an article published by The Antelope Valley Times, the accident took place last week on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck on April 1 at around 4:47 a.m.
The incident began when a black 2017 Ford Focus was west going on Avenue R, approaching 25th Street East, in Palmdale. At the same time, a 2016 Toyota Camry was heading north.
The driver of the Ford, 45-year-old James Llewellyn, made a right turn onto 25th Street East from a red signal. The Palmdale man then made a U-turn in front the Toyota.

In the process, the Camry collided with the driver’s side of the Focus. The coroner’s office said James Llewellyn died as a result of the collision.
The female motorist in the Toyota and her minor passenger ended up hurt following the wreck. Paramedics took them to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The names of the wounded victims and their condition at this time were not disclosed. Meanwhile, deputies forced a stretch of 25th Street East to shut down for hours after the incident.
The fatal Palmdale crash is still under investigation.
