Big Rig Fatally Hits Man Near Avenue N
Palmdale, CA (June 6, 2023) – A pedestrian died following a traffic accident that occurred on State Route Highway 14, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
On June 6, Tuesday, CHP logged a case involving a pedestrian struck by a big rig. Our sources indicated a male party parked his dark colored sedan along the highway near Avenue N. For an unknown reason, the driver stepped out of his vehicle and stood in the traffic lanes beside his car.
Pedestrian Killed in Palmdale Crash
Officials said the driver of an oncoming semi truck was not able to avoid and hit the pedestrian. The collision instantly killed the man. Shortly after 5:03 p.m., paramedics arrived at the scene and pronounced the driver of the sedan dead. Authorities continue to withhold the identity of the deceased pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate several unclear factors surrounding the fatal crash that happened on State Route Highway 14 in Palmdale.
