1 Dead, 3 Injured in Palmdale Crash at Pearblossom Highway and Small Road
PALMDALE (January 12, 2018) – One was killed and three were injured after a traffic collision in the area of Pearblossom Highway and Small Road Saturday afternoon, according to The Antelope Valley Times and NBC Los Angeles.
The accident involving two vehicles was reported at about 2:44 p.m. near the Metrolink rail. Pearblossom Highway is also known as Highway 122.
As per the reports, California Highway Patrol said a sedan, a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a white Chevrolet Suburban collided for an unknown reason at the intersection of Pearblossom Highway and Small Road.
One of the cars involved rolled down the embankment onto the railroad tracks used by Metrolink.
Multi-Car Crash on Highway 122 in Palmdale
Los Angeles County Fire Department officials along with the paramedics responded to the site and pronounced one person dead at the scene.
CHP added that the three other people were hurt in the wreck. A 60-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were taken to a trauma center and were listed in moderate condition.
The third patient, a 19-year-old man, was hospitalized with minor injuries. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, the cause of the incident remains under investigation.
