Man, 87, Killed in Palmdale Crash at Pearblossom Highway and Cheseboro Road
PALMDALE, CA (May 27, 2022) – A car crash killed a man at Pearblossom Highway and Cheseboro Road in Palmdale.
According to The Antelope Valley Times and CBS Los Angeles, the tragic accident took place late Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:20 a.m.
The incident happened on May 25 when a silver Saturn sedan was going north on Cheseboro Road, approaching Pearblossom Highway, in Palmdale.
2 Cars Collide
At the same time, a Dodge Ram towing a trailer was traveling east on the highway. Deputies said for an unknown reason, the Saturn then made a left turn in front of the pickup truck.
In the process, the two cars collided in the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced a driver, an 87-year-old man, dead at the scene.
His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Pearblossom Highway and Cheseboro Road to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Palmdale crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the station’s traffic department at 661-272-2400.
