1 Killed, 1 Injured in Palmdale Crash on East Avenue O Near Sierra Highway
PALMDALE, CA (August 23, 2022) – A car crash killed one person and injured another on East Avenue O in Palmdale.
According to The Antelope Valley Times and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on August 22 at around 1:20 p.m.
The incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Palmdale. The California Highway Patrol said the cars crashed in the 23000 block of East Avenue O near Sierra Highway.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters arrived and then freed one trapped occupant from the wreckage. They rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries.
Medical personnel soon pronounced one individual dead at the scene. The names of the deceased and wounded parties have not been yet released.
Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Avenue O to shut down for a time following the wreck. The cause of the fatal Palmdale crash is still under investigation.
