Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash Near Palmdale Boulevard and 5th Street East
PALMDALE, CA (August 27, 2021) – A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash near Palmdale Boulevard and 5th Street East.
According to The Antelope Valley Times and My News LA, the tragic accident occurred on Thursday morning. Officers reported the collision at around 8:23 a.m. in Palmdale.
The incident happened on August 26 when a female pedestrian was crossing Palmdale Boulevard near 5th Street East. At the same time, a vehicle was going east.
The Palmdale Sheriff’s Station said for an unknown reason, the driver then struck the woman. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found her left lying on the ground.

The victim sustained life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. Medical personnel soon pronounced her dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased woman remains unreleased pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the motorist did not stop to help the pedestrian and fled eastbound on Palmdale Boulevard.
Officers described the car as a dark colored small SUV. They also forced the area of Palmdale Boulevard and 5th Street East to shut down for hours following the collision.
