Motorcyclist Injured in Palmdale Hit-and-run Crash
PALMDALE, Calif. (July 7, 2021) — A Palmdale motorcycle accident involving a hit-and-run driver happened Tuesday night on the Antelope Valley (14) Freeway.
The motorcycle rider suffered leg injuries in last night’s collision in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
A driver in a black Honda Accord fled the scene without stopping to help the injured rider.
The California Highway Patrol sent officers to the scene after someone called 911 at 9:49 p.m. Police responded to the freeway, just south of Avenue S where they located the injured motorcyclist in the roadway. The victim’s motorcycle was blocking the middle lanes of the freeway, police said.
Meanwhile, paramedics also responded and rushed the injured person to a hospital, police said.
Authorities noted there are no reports about this collision involving road rage as a factor.
The roadway later reopened at 10:42 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation by CHP officers.
