Man Severely Injured in Palmdale Hit-and-Run Near 40th Street East and Avenue P-8
PALMDALE, CA (January 29, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash severely injured a pedestrian near 40th Street East and Avenue P-8 in Palmdale.
According to an article published by the Antelope Valley Times, the accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the collision on January 28 at around 11:20 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason in Palmdale. The driver hit him near the intersection of 40th Street East and Avenue P-8.
Driver Hits Pedestrian, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found the man left suffering from severe injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the victim to a hospital for treatment of injuries to his legs. The report did not disclose his name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the man and then fled the area. Officers forced the corner of 40th Street East and Avenue P-8 to shut down following the collision.
