PALMDALE, California (August 5, 2014) – An on-duty police officer working on an assignment at a movie shoot was injured early Tuesday morning in a collision with another driver on the southbound Antelope Valley 14 Freeway, near Crown Valley Road, according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported about 4:55 a.m. near Acton. A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy, who is based at the local Palmdale Station, suffered minor injuries and was taken by paramedics to a local hospital for treatment.

“Fortunately no one was seriously injured in this crash,” said Attorney James Johnson. “Police will issue a report and assign liability for this accident.”
