Five Injured Car Crashes into Homeless Encampment
PALMS, Calif. (July 26, 2023) – A car went off the National Boulevard off ramp from the westbound Santa Monica 10 Freeway early Wednesday and crash landed in a Palms homeless camp.
Five people from the vehicle were injured in the 2:20 a.m. collision on July 26th in Palms, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and located five people in the vehicle with injuries. Three of the victims were trapped and in serious condition and two were in fair condition. It appears that there were no injuries from occupants at the homeless camp.
They transported all five people to hospitals following the crash. The ages and genders of the people were not released.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision at this time, but police are investigating.
