Elderly Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Charleston Road and Commercial Street
Palo Alto, CA (March 22, 2023) – A deadly pedestrian accident occurred in the area of Charleston Road and Commercial Street Tuesday, March 21.
The KRON4 News reported a Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling in the streets of Palo Alto at about 10:25 a.m. When the vehicle approached the intersection at Charleston and Commercial, the driver made a right turn onto Charleston Road and struck a man walking in the roadway. The force from the impact caused the pedestrian to fall and hit his head on the pavement.
Pedestrian Killed in Palo Alto Accident
When medical personnel arrived a the crash site, they found the victim unconscious. Responding paramedics performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but he sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away. Authorities continue to withhold the name of the deceased, but he was briefly identified as a male in his 80s.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. Detectives handling the case continue to work at this time to determine liabilities in the deadly pedestrian accident happened at Charleston Road and Commercial Street in Palo Alto.
