1 Injured in Palo Alto Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 101 at Embarcadero Road
PALO ALTO, CA (October 5, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 101 and Embarcadero Road in Palo Alto.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred late Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 11:18 a.m.
The incident happened on October 3 when a blue Jeep Cherokee and another vehicle collided in Palo Alto. The two crashed for an unknown reason on northbound Highway 101 at the Embarcadero Road off-ramp.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found an occupant of the Jeep who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The report did not release the name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP added that the other driver did not stop to help and fled the area. Officers forced the northbound Highway 101 at Embarcadero to shut down following the incident.
The cause of the Palo Alto hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
